LPG nozzle

LGP nozzle, also known as standard nozzle. Its design, manufacturing, and use comply with the provisions of international standards ISO5167 or GB/T2624. Due to its arc-shaped inlet and cylindrical shape with a certain length, it has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and is commonly used for measuring the flow rate of liquids and gases under high temperature and pressure.

    The LGP nozzle, commonly referred to as the standard nozzle or ISA1932 nozzle, is a throttling device. It is typically combined with a differential pressure transmitter and a secondary meter to form a complete flow measurement system. Below is an introduction to its product features and technical performance parameters:

    1. Product Features

    • Simple Structure & Easy Installation: It features a relatively compact structure, facilitating installation and maintenance in pipeline systems.
    • Low Pressure Loss: Compared with orifice plates, the LGP nozzle has smaller pressure loss, enabling effective energy conservation.
    • No In-Situ Flow Calibration Required: Compliant with the national standard GB/T2624, it can meet the designed accuracy as long as it is designed and manufactured in accordance with the standard, without the need for in-situ flow calibration.
    • Stable Performance: It exhibits resistance to high temperature, high pressure, impact, and corrosion, allowing stable operation in harsh industrial environments with a long service life.
    • High Accuracy: It boasts high accuracy, excellent repeatability, and stable discharge coefficient, with an accuracy (uncertainty) of ±0.8% ~ ±1.2%.
    • Wide Measurement Range: It can measure liquids, gases, steam, and various contaminated media, making it applicable to a broad range of scenarios.

    2. Technical Performance Parameters

    • Nominal Diameter: Generally DN50-DN500mm; some models can reach up to DN630mm.
    • Operating Pressure: Usually ≤42MPa.
    • Operating Temperature: -50℃ - 650℃.
    • Pressure Tapping Methods: Two types are available:
      • Corner tapping (with independent annulus, integrated flange-annulus, or direct drilling);
      • Diametrical tapping (D-D/2).
    • Material:
      • The nozzle body is generally made of stainless steel such as 304 or 316;
      • Flanges or clamping parts can be selected from carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel based on the medium temperature;
      • For some special models, materials like 15CrMoG or 310S are also used.
    • Accuracy: Compliant with standards, the accuracy is ±1.0% (for standard nozzles) and ±2.0% (for long-radius nozzles).
